Book Description:

Unknown

Darkness is covering the land. As the city of Mezrah grows with power and greed, the rest of the world can only stand by and wait for their inevitable destruction. The only hope against this growing power is an ancient prophecy that people have stopped believing in.

Then a star begins to fall.

Princess Kyla of Taramon stopped believing in the power of light the day her father died. Trapped in a city she does not care for, under the watchful glare of her mother, the queen, she struggles to accept her fate.

Then a star begins to fall.

Jethro has loved Kyla for as long as he can remember. Learning that she was to marry his cousin drove a wedge between him and the feisty princess. Watching her from a distance is a torture he is unable to free himself from.

Then a star begins to fall, sparking an ember of hope and sending two seekers on a treacherous journey into the unknown.

Unseen

Danger surrounds the Seekers. Having already faced overwhelming odds, Kyla and Jethro discover it is only the beginning. Now they must face the power of nature itself.

Each day is a test of faith.

Two elements remain undiscovered. The light is yet to be resurrected. Dark forces prepare to descend upon the heroes of prophecy and they have one more power they must over come...their forbidden love for each other.

Each moment is a test of loyalty and courage.
In Taramon, Athra faces his own demons as he frets over the safety of his fiancée while trying to counter a dark evil that is brought to his doorstep. Treachery lurks in the shadows, forcing the future king into an action that could destroy his beloved city.
Through it all, they must cling to the truths hidden in the unseen.

Unleashed

The prophecy has failed. As Athra lies in the dungeons of Taramon with his defeated army, this is all he can believe. His city has been torn apart. He has failed his people and all that awaits him is an agonising death.

But the light has been found.

Ashan and his dark army proceed in gloating triumph. Safeer heads to Mezrah with Taramon's women and children, while the rest of his men remain in the northern city, forcing their prisoners to tear it down stone by stone.

But two sparks have been ignited.

Kyla and Jethro learn of Taramon's demise and, with the children, formulate a plan to rescue their people and bring an end to the overpowering darkness. It will take all their strength and every ounce of faith they possess...

But a furious light is about to be unleashed.

Unseen Excerpt Two

Jethro turned to walk towards the door and stopped as it creeped open of its own accord. Kyla slid through the gap and closed the door behind her. She was wearing a plush robe and fur-lined boots that weren’t even laced. Her hair was dripping. Droplets hit her neck and ran beneath the robe, sliding over firm curves that he assumed were naked.
His mouth went dry. He licked his tender, wind-burned lips.
Kyla turned to face him, and if he’d been allowed to, he would have devoured her on the spot.
Her eyes rounded as she saw him watching her. She looked relieved to see him. He grinned and winked, resisting the urge to run towards her.
His strides across the room grew short as her expression changed. The smile fled. Her eyes flashed dark. Hurt and anger bubbled beneath her lashes and she lifted her chin.
Slightly confused, but unable to back away, he paused and stood his ground. Before he knew it, she was standing an inch away from him. She opened her mouth to speak, but then clamped her teeth together.
“You— We—” Her forehead wrinkled. She huffed. And then she slapped him across the face. “How could you say you have always loved me and then spend the last year punishing me for a decision that was never mine!”
So she had heard him in the cave. Jethro rubbed a hand over his stinging cheek and shot her a black look. Hardly the reunion he’d been hoping for. At least she had broached the issue. He supposed that was a good thing.
“I wasn't trying to punish you. I thought it best to create some distance between us.”
“By treating me like pond scum?” She threw her arms wide, making her robe shift.
Jethro closed his eyes against the flash of flesh. Knowing a small tug of the cord around her waist was all that stood between him and her body was not helping him through this conversation.
He spun away from her.
“Kyla…you…you’re marrying Athra! You love another man and you expect me to keep pretending that nothing has changed? What did you want me to do?”
Kyla cleared her throat. He glanced over his shoulder. She crossed her arms over her chest, covering her exposed skin. Jethro slowly turned back.
“Athra is a good man and I care for him,” her voice grew soft, “but I am not in love with him.”
“Yes, you are.” He mussed his curls with a scowl.
“No, I am not.” She stepped towards him, emphatic.
He glanced at her expression, his brows dipping together. “Then why didn’t you fight the decision?”
“What?”
He groaned and shook his head. “All your life you have fought every decision ever made for you! The dresses, the hunting, your studies…everything was a battle. But when it comes to the most important decision of your life, not one word!” He gripped his hands into fists. “Kyla, you must love him.”
Her cheeks went pale. She adjusted the robe at her shoulders, tucking it around herself more securely. She ran her fingers over her forehead and tucked a drying curl behind her ear. The anger residing on the edges of her expression dropped away. Finally she gazed up at him with a look of complete understanding. Her eyes were like dancing fairies as she stepped towards him.
“Why did you not tell me how you felt before?”
“Maybe I didn’t recognise it until it was too late.” He clenched his jaw. “Or maybe I was afraid it would destroy what we had.” Rubbing a hand over his face, he sighed and looked to the ceiling.
“Jethro.”
She waited for him to look at her.
“I knew I had no choice over whom I was to marry. When mother chose Athra, I was so relieved it was someone kind and not a hundred years old that I didn’t think to argue it.”
She closed the gap between them. He wanted to back away, but she grabbed the edge of his robe before he could. Pulling him towards her, she pressed her body against him.
“But if I’d known what I know now,” she whispered, “I would have fought, Jethro.” She ran her fingers inside the edge of his robe, skimming his skin and setting his muscles on fire. Her fingers came to rest at the base of his neck, and she gazed up at him with a look so open he could see into the centre of her soul.
His lips parted in surprise. This, he had not been expecting.
“I know I would have lost the battle.” She grinned. “But I would have fought…with a passion.”
Her lips lingered below his, asking, begging to be touched.
