Book Description:

Madison LeBon is dead set against the dead. She has vowed to ignore her Voodoo-stamped heritage and the psychic gift passed down through her Louisiana family. The world of the living is where she wants to belong.

But her resolution shatters when the tragic lovers in a painting—the subject of her first history class at Oxford—begin to haunt her. The lovers warn her against their own nemesis, a Puritan from the English Civil War.

College becomes more complicated when Madison falls hard for Rupert Vance, a troubled aristocrat and descendant of one of the characters in the painting. With the spirit of a murderer after her, she realizes that her own first love may also be doomed…

Review: Honestly, I love books that are set overseas because it's always a new place I have never been. I liked how this book made all these lives cross, and parallel each other. I thought this book was quite an interesting concept. It started out super slow for me. It did pick up, as most books do. I know you guys see me write those sentences quite a bit. I thought the voodoo was an interesting spin, I haven't read too many books involving it. I think the summary does a really good job of explaining it, so I'm not going to go into detail of the story line. It had quite a few surprise twists that I found quite interesting, and it actually fooled me. I thought the same thing that Madison had thought.

Character Breakdown:
Madison- She is just your typical college girl. She works hard, and tries her best at everything. At times I really wish she was a tad bit more assertive.

Rupert- He is the typical good guy who is caught in the bad boy persona trap, and just needs a good girl with an attitude to set him straight.

I honestly enjoyed this book, and thought it was quite interesting. Definitely check this book out and give it a try.

Goodreads Reactions:
70.0%"Rupert has definitely been throwing some cheesy lines out."
37.0%"I really hope this turns out well, it would be sad if it didn't."
33.0%"Madison is definitely not making good decision s"
11.0%"She should have told Pippa, "screw you""
8.0%"Im never late either"
6.0%"Pretty sure that is the most boring sport ever."

About the author:

In addition to being an author, I work as an entrepreneur, wife and mother-of-one but spend a good deal of time with books, DVDs and listening to my mp3 player; all for the sake of inspiration, of course.

My debut series, The Oxford Trilogy, has been a blast to write because I can indulge in my favorite types of music: Country and English rock.

My main goal as a writer is to make readers dream bigger and cause their hearts to beat a little faster.
Since my writing is all about sharing dreams and stories, I love connecting with fellow readers and authors.
