Summary: We all grow up hearing them. Fairy tales are told to every little girl. One day Prince Charming is going to come sweep us off our feet, and take us to live in his castle happily ever after. Julia has no fairy godmother, and certainly no Prince Charming. Eight years after a failed engagement, she is still trying to pick up the pieces. Every guy she dates can't compare to Nick; the love, the passion, and the romance she shared with him. Where is her fairy godmother? She clicks open her email to find a message about a new client. Guess who? It was Nick, her Nick. Can she face him after 8 years? Not only does she have to attend meetings he is in, she has to go with her financial team to go to a house he is considering buying for a week. He will be there, and so will all his friends and family. This is a journey of self discovery, and learning what it means to be confident again.
Review: I loved this book. I thought it was witty, funny, and sweet. It is the romance-y read I have been wanting to read for quite some time. I read it in two sittings, and the only reason I didn't read it in one was because well I have been busy preparing for tests. I could not put this book down.
Julia shows tremendous growth as a person in this book. I love her personality. She funny, witty, and smart. She has real flaws that a lot of women have. She is not overly whiny, thankfully. If only she could trust her instinct. She is afraid that she is always misreading situations.
Nick is pretty much amazing. Sometimes, I wish he narrated some of the story as well. I wanted to be in his head so bad. I wanted to know what he was thinking.
Their romance felt so real. It didn't have a quick easy solution. They both had to work through their issues. In order to realize what was at stake.
Overall, I suggest this book to everyone who loves romances of all kinds. It was a very heart warming read.
